Instructions for the proper use of condoms
If you use a condom properly, there's only a slight chance of it bursting, tearing or slipping off. Below is a step-by-step guide to using a condom. step 1:check that your condom is reliable Check the CE mark and the expiry date on the pack of the condom
Step 2: open the pack Carefully tear open the pack. It is easiest to do this on the ragged side of the pack. Be careful that the condom is not damaged by (broken) fingernails or other sharp objects. No tearing with teeth please!
Step 3: get the condom out of the pack Hold the condom by its tip and get it out carefully. Avoid any contact between penis and vagina or anus before the condom is on.
step 4: put on the condom Do not put on the condom until the penis is completely erect. Watch out: the condom ‘ring' should be on the outside (you can feel this clearly with your fingers)- otherwise you won't be able to unroll the condom. Squeeze the tip of the condom with two fingers. This prevents any air getting trapped. It also reduces the risk of the condom bursting during sex. Unroll the condom as far as possible with your other hand. When the condom is on the penis, there should be some space in the tip for the semen. About one to two centimetres is enough.
Important!! Should you by accident try to put on the condom with the ‘ring' on the inside first - which, you will realize, does not work -do not then turn it over and wear it anyway. The condom will not be safe as it might already have come into contact with any STI you might have, or with pre-cum causing danger of unplanned pregnancy. step 5: take off the condom After ejaculation, withdraw the penis from the vagina or anus. Do this while the penis is still erect, and hold the edge of the condom to prevent it from slipping off. Then slide the condom off the penis. Tie a knot in it so that the semen does not pour out. Make sure you get no semen on your hands, as that is also a way of infecting you or your partner.
Step 6: Dispose of the condom properly. Do not throw the used condom in the toilet or bidet as this can cause blockage. Do not throw it outside either. Wrap the used condom in tissue paper and dispose it properly in the rubbish bin.
